Cannabis in Turkmenabat, Turkmenistan - my story

Hi there, hustlers 🤝Welcome to my longread about weed in Turkmenabat, done from my own experience plus some local stories.

As you all know cannabis regulations differ in different countries, so the point of this article is to cover marijuana laws in Turkmenabat, attitude of police and local inhabitants, weed VS hash availability and price range, my own experience related to weed in Turkmenabat.

I have just finished my trip to Turkmenabat, stayed there for 10 days, now got back home, writing this post while memory is fresh and with a solid joint in my left hand. As a regular weed smoker I could not imagine my stay in Turkmenabat without having some weed in my pocket. Below I will outline information I found out while looking for some good smelly green buds in Turkmenabat.

Points to find the weed in Turkmenabat

During the time Simon had been my dealer (it was the solving of all my issues) he was telling me about how the things were going in Turkmenabat.

High rated providers in Turkmenabat buy the cannabis on darknet websites that maintain gross orders. These orders can contain a big amount of weed and hash, kilograms I think. Some websites work on small orders too, so if you are close to Tor browser working and know how to .onion sites doing - glance on thehiddenwiki.com, wait for a couple of days and get your package. This site has all the information needed about darknet.

While if you are having a short vacation or a trip to Turkmenabat and need not much weed right now or tomorrow - only local weed dealers may assist you. You may still use oldschool approach and hustle dark streets or parks in search of strange person who will sell you some joint for cash, but not sure this is the best way to spend your time in Turkmenabat. Nowadays almost all dealers have gone online and crypto already, so hustling the streets may simply not work. Now the weed-selling process looks like this - you find some messenger contacts of a local dealer (ask some barmans or simply google), contact him and choose what you would like to order, pay in crypto and get your stuff delivered to a hotel or some pre-selected location. Personal meetings are something dealers try to avoid - so weed is usually dropped at some approximate point you firstly discuss, and you get photo and GPS coordinates where to take your package after delivery.

I was a little bit shocked, because I got used to the idea that “cash rules the world”. But after crypto became something you may exchange to real cash, and do not need to meet in person to transfer it - cash started losing its points in the drug business. Simon also commented that now if you do not know crypto - you have a friend who is keen on bitcoins and all that shit, so you may simply ask him to help and do a crypto transaction for you. And I really have such friends, so yep, agree.

Local attitude towards weed and cannabis in Turkmenabat

Although only medical cannabis is allowed in Turkmenabat, the locals are absolutely ok with the smokers. Local dealers have big cash from the students and tourists, so they are their weed target audiences in Turkmenabat. You shouldn't allow yourself to smoke anywhere, for example in bars, but nobody is surprised if you get caught smoking weed in a secluded corner of the street.

One more interesting fact from my new friend Simon - even some cops in Turkmenabat prefer smoking weed over drinking strong. So as I understood Turkmenabat is a good place for smokers of marijuana because of the light atmosphere, but all the same the best rule is not to be caught with weed in Turkmenabat 😉.

We were a little drunk already when Simon offered a joint of some noname sativa strain, of course I agreed. We were smoking not far from my hotel and it seems I saw other guys doing the same near another cornet 🙂So may say locals are not against weed, I saw this myself.

I liked the weed Simon shared, not the best one I’ve ever tried, but good enough. So I asked Simon to share contacts of his dealer, while he refused telling me his dealer works only with an old trusted set of clients. So I simply asked Simon if he could be my dealer during the nearest days - he agreed. I wish everyone to find his own Simon in Turkmenabat🙂
