Marijuana in Yerevan, Armenia - my experience

Howdy, go-getters 🤝My greetings to you in my long topic about my experience with weed in _CITY_ based on my adventures and the stories of local friends.

There is a well known fact that the laws according to the usage of marijuana differs from city to city. Based on that fact I've decided to write this article to let you know the rules of interaction with weed and hash in Yerevan , tell you about the police attention, possibility to find good hash, the price’s politics and all underwater rocks connected with the drugs in Yerevan.

Just finished my vacation, stayed 2 weeks in Yerevan, and as a heavy weed smoker I can't imagine a vacation without some sativa joint during the day and indica buds with some beer before heading to sleep. Below you will find info on what I found out while searching for tasty non-medical weed in Yerevan.

Perception of Cannabis Among Residents of Yerevan

It's worth noting that high-THC non-medical cannabis isn't officially available for purchase in licensed cannabis stores in Yerevan, but that doesn't mean the locals are strongly opposed to it 😃. It's primarily the younger crowd and students who openly enjoy cannabis and are open to welcoming new enthusiasts into their social circles. They consider a couple of joints an essential part of a good party, although it might be a bit challenging to fit in if you happen to be over 25.

In general, indulging in the random joint after a long workweek is a cherished tradition among many residents of Yerevan. People tend to be tolerant, so there's no need to worry about judgment when it comes to your cannabis consumption. However, it's advisable to avoid doing so in public to avoid unnecessary attention.

We were a little drunk already when Olaf offered a joint of some noname sativa strain, of course I agreed. We were smoking not far from my hotel and it seems I saw other guys doing the same near another cornet 🙂So may say locals are not against weed, I saw this myself.

I liked the weed Olaf shared, not the best one I’ve ever tried, but good enough. So I asked Olaf to share contacts of his dealer, while he refused telling me his dealer works only with an old trusted set of clients. So I simply asked Olaf if he could be my dealer during the nearest days - he agreed. I wish everyone to find his own Olaf in Yerevan🙂

Marijuana regulations in Yerevan, Armenia

You should know that storage and distribution of non-medical cannabis is forbidden and strictly regulated by laws of Armenia. This means you can not go and buy some good weed in an official shop like you may do in Canada for example. Low THC and high CBD cannabis may be ordered if you have a prescription from a doctor.

On my first evening in Yerevan I met Olaf who moved here a couple of years ago. I got lucky - he was one of the heavy weed smokers, so he agreed to share a joint with me and tell me some stories about local dealers. As he said from the very beginning - even though weed is prohibited in Yerevan - cops are overall calm and relaxed in everything related to cannabis, this made me feel better.

But what if you get caught with weed in your pocket in Yerevan?

According to Olaf - if you have not more than 10g of weed or 5g of hash and you are not doing any other bad things in public - cops should not punish you. They should just ensure you are not a dealer who sells stuff, and after a short talk should leave you alone and just confiscate your stuff (to smoke it themselves haha).

There are some stories about dirty cops who try to get a bribe from tourists with weed in Yerevan, but these stories are rare, also better not to do this cause you may be arrested for this as a separate crime. Easier just to watch you back and not to walk with large amounts of weed in your pockets.

Points to find the weed in Yerevan

During the time Olaf had been my dealer (it was the solving of all my issues) he was telling me about how the things were going in Yerevan.

High rated providers in Yerevan buy the cannabis on darknet websites that maintain gross orders. These orders can contain a big amount of weed and hash, kilograms I think. Some websites work on small orders too, so if you are close to Tor browser working and know how to .onion sites doing - glance on thehiddenwiki.com, wait for a couple of days and get your package. This site has all the information needed about darknet.

If you're on a short vacation or a trip to Yerevan, obtaining cannabis through wholesale darknet websites isn't a viable option. Searching for street or park dealers remains a possibility for acquiring weed in Yerevan, but an increasing number of dealers are transitioning to online transactions through messaging apps and Bitcoin payments instead of cash. This approach serves as a protective measure against potential encounters with law enforcement. Crypto payments offer anonymity, and deliveries are made to specified locations without the need for in-person meetings, ensuring both you and the dealer are shielded from potential consequences.

This revelation surprised me, as I lean toward a more traditional approach and had only heard about cryptocurrencies in passing. However, these days, most young individuals, who are often the target audience for cannabis dealers, possess crypto wallets, so dealers are simply adapting to this trend. While I believe that some dealers might lose business because not all clients are familiar with cryptocurrencies, Olaf pointed out that nowadays, if you don't use crypto yourself, you likely have a friend who does. In such cases, you can simply transfer money from your card to your crypto-savvy friend, and they can conduct the cryptocurrency transaction on your behalf. This advice from Olaf got me thinking, and I realized I also have such a friend, so I followed his suggestion.

Interesting facts about weed

1 - You Can Eat Cannabis Raw

2 - Not All Weed Gets You High
You read that right. THC is not the same as CBD, which means that the type you choose to consume will have different effects on your body. One will provide all the relaxing and medicinal benefits, while the other will provide the psychoactive effects of the high.

Maybe his source of inspiration? Marijuana residues were found in William Shakespeare’s home, which we believe could have been an enormous aid in writing all the screenplays and poems.
